The Holiday Season is a joyful time of the year, when family and friends gather to exchange gifts, celebrate the year's successes and attend parties to bring in the New Year.
However, for a small, but growing segment of our community, the holidays can be a dark period, especially for the senior citizens. Loneliness and a lack of a support system can often lead to alcohol abuse or an addiction to prescription medication. With the holiday season upon us, Cenikor Clinical Manager William Lane, from the Fort Worth Facility, answers questions on the December podcast, and gives advice on how to recognize the danger signs of a senior at risk and what to do to help them.
