Since 1967, Cenikor has been at the forefront of quality care. Against the backdrop of the charming Briar Club in Houston, Texas, guests will be inspired to hear our chair and keynote speaker, attorney, author, and philanthropist, Brian Cuban speak on the topics of addiction, recovery, and redemption. Our award ceremony will also honor those on the state and local levels who have made an impact in the substance use recovery community.  It will be an afternoon you won’t want to miss!

Meet Our Chair

Brian Cuban

Cenikor is proud to announce Brian Cuban as our Keynote Speaker and Chair. Recognized for his memoir, The Addicted Lawyer: Tales of the Bar, Booze, Blow, and Redemption, an unflinching look at how addiction and other mental health issues shattered his successful career, he frequently speaks on the topics of addiction, legal ethics, recovery, and redemption at colleges, universities, conferences, non-profits, and legal events across the United States and in Canada.

Brian is a successful attorney and author, recently releasing his fiction debut, The Ambulance Chaser, a legal thriller that opened as the #1 selling debut paperback thriller.

Our Co-Chair

Georgia D. Provost

With a long list of accomplishments and professions, Cenikor is excited to announce Georgia D. Provost as the Co-Chair of our 2022 Luncheon. A Business Owner, Professional Photographer, Photojournalist, Historian, Common Sense Public Speaker, Fundraiser, Special Events, and Community Outreach Consultant, Georgia and the Provost family are legends in the Houston, Texas community.

A retired Houston ISD educator and TSU professor, Georgia has been the President and CEO of Provost Studios since 1980. She is a community activist who participates in the business, cultural, educational, humanitarian, political, and religious/spiritual sectors of Harris County’s life. She is a common-sense public speaker and a champion for the amazing youth and Black men. She is a consummate community volunteer and is part of the dynamic fundraising team of Helfman/Provost raising funds for injured or fallen law enforcement officers and their families, MHMRA, KTSU, TSU, and other charitable organizations.
