Operations Update

The safety and well-being of our clients, visitors and staff is our top priority.

In response to CDC recommendations combined with the state health departments in both Texas and Louisiana as well as the local jurisdictions in the communities we serve we have implemented the following changes in our facilities:


  1. Screening for COVID-19 indicators will be completed with all interested clients calling the access center.
  2. Follow up screening will occur prior to admission at the facility level.
  3. Screening tools are updated as new information comes to light.
  4. Staff are undergoing a screening daily as well as having temperature checked daily before entering the facilities.
  5. Client temperatures are taken daily.
  6. These measures are intended to limit exposure to our clients and staff.

Client Services

All facilities remain open for admissions and have capacity to accept clients.  In addition, we will be working with clients who need accommodation with deductibles and co-pays to ensure they can receive the necessary help during these trying times.

All staff, clients and visitors will be required to wear a mask unless sleeping or eating.

At this time, we will not be hosting open 12-step and other recovery support meetings with outside attendees.  We will ensure access to 12-step resources for the clients we serve.

Family visitation in our detox/short stay facilities will be discontinued through April 12, 2020. Long term facilities will continue at this time with additional screening in place, however, we will be limiting the number and age of visitors.  This will be evaluated regularly and changes made as needed.

Business Operations

The leadership team is closely monitoring all information on the issues and the needs of the facilities/operations to ensure that the highest quality services continue while keeping our employees and the people we serve healthy and safe.  Briefings are provided regularly to all staff across the foundation.

Business meetings

Staff should use conference calls or virtual meetings rather than in-person meetings.

Janitorial Services

We have increased our cleaning and sanitation using approved and effective cleaners/chemicals on all surfaces throughout the day and overnight.
