ANNUAL LUNCHEON RAISES AWARENESS AND FUNDS TO COMBAT ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE IN HOUSTON
(Houston, TX – September 7, 2016) The Cenikor Foundation (Cenikor) is hosting its annual Voices for Recovery Luncheon in Houston, Texas on Monday, September 26, 2016. We are fortunate each year to host strong members in the local community including local and state representatives, prominent business leaders, illustrious members of the recovery and behavioral health industry, and proud alumni of the Cenikor family. Each year we honor key members of the Houston, Deer Park Facility and surrounding areas that have made a tremendous impact on our great community. This year we are privileged to honor Representative Senfronia Thompson as Elected Official of the Year; the Albert & Ethel Herzstein Foundation as Philanthropist of the Year; Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ as Business Partner of the Year; and Ms. Tracy Dudley as Community Leader of the Year.
The Cenikor family has been proud to call Deer Park, Texas home for many years. “With the generous support of so many in the Houston, Deer Park and surrounding areas, we have been able to offer treatment to over 1,400 clients through our long-term, detox and short-term programs. As a result of such generosity, we are able to impact the lives of those in need and help them start new lives through sobriety.” says Bill Bailey, Cenikor President and CEO.
In celebration of National Recovery Month, Cenikor hosts this annual luncheon to share insights on the path to recovery, celebrate the achievements of our clients’ success, while raising vital funds to help our clients become responsible citizens free of substance abuse. This year’s event will be held at the Marriot Houston, West Loop near the Galleria, 1750 West Loop South, Houston, TX 77079.
Recovery touches everyone in some shape or form. Cenikor recognizes that what we do each day changes the life of someone truly in need, their families, and their communities at large. There are several sponsorship opportunities and individual tickets still available, with all proceeds going to benefit our clients’ recovery. Every donation has the power to change the life of someone when needed most. Eighty-one cents of every dollar donated to our cause goes toward program costs.
