ANNUAL LUNCHEON RAISES AWARENESS AND FUNDS TO COMBAT ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE IN TYLER
(Houston, TX – October 10, 2016) The Cenikor Foundation (Cenikor) is hosting its First Annual Voices for Recovery Luncheon in Tyler, Texas on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. At several of our facilities in Texas and Louisiana, we annually recognize strong members of the local community including local and state representatives, prominent business leaders, illustrious members of the recovery and behavioral health industry, and proud alumni of the Cenikor family. We look forward to continuing this tradition in Tyler where we can honor key members of the community that have made a tremendous impact on our great City. This year we are privileged to honor Councilman Ed Moore as Elected Official of the Year; The Rogers Foundation as Philanthropist of the Year; Barham Architects as Business Partner of the Year; and a posthumous award in Memory of Carl R. Johnson, Sr. as Community Leader of the Year.
September 2016 marked Cenikor’s one year anniversary in the Tyler community. “In our short time here in Tyler, we have been able to impact the lives of nearly 500 clients. With the support of the outstanding foundations, companies and leaders we are honoring this year, and the wonderful people of this great City, we help people in need find better health and better lives through recovery.” says Bill Bailey, Cenikor President and CEO.
In celebration of National Recovery Month, Cenikor hosts this annual luncheon to share insights on the path to recovery, celebrate the achievements of our clients’ success, while raising vital funds to help our clients become responsible citizens free of substance abuse. This year’s event will be held at the Hollytree Country Club located at 6700 Hollytree Drive, Tyler, TX 75703.
Recovery touches everyone in some shape or form. Cenikor recognizes that what we do each day changes the life of someone truly in need, their families, and their communities at large. There are several sponsorship opportunities as well as individual tickets still available, with all proceeds going to benefit our clients and their recovery. Every donation has the power to change the life of someone when needed most. Eighty-one cents of every dollar donated to our cause goes toward program costs.
