Cenikor Celebrates 55 Years of Service

HOUSTON – Tuesday, July 20 – Cenikor provides treatment and recovery services for those who suffer from alcohol and drug addiction, and we are proudly celebrating our 55th Anniversary of continuous treatment operations. The commemorative seal, marking this tremendous milestone, will be used from September 1, 2021 through the 2022 calendar year.

Bill Bailey, President and CEO of Cenikor said, “Cenikor was founded in 1967 with a mission of helping those who suffer from alcohol and drug addiction.” Since then, it has grown to be one of the largest providers of treatment for substance use disorder in Texas. “It has been a privilege to lead Cenikor’s mission of transforming lives through recovery,” added Mr. Bailey.

Cenikor Foundation has recovery facilities across the State of Texas, including Houston, Corpus Christi, Amarillo, Killeen, Austin, Waco, San Marcos, and Tyler. Its spectrum of care includes prevention services, youth recovery, short-term residential treatment, outpatient treatment, detoxification services, and a recently expanded sober living long-term residential offering.

“For over 12 years, I have witnessed a remarkable transformation in the clients Cenikor serves,” says Kellee Webb, VP, Chief Human Resources Officer for Cenikor. “It has been an honor to play a part in the legacy of this organization that has been serving the community for 55 years.”

Cenikor is proud to note that during its many years of operation, we have evolved our services to meet the ever-changing needs of the communities we serve. Cenikor now provides services that include youth prevention, adolescent and adult withdrawal management, residential treatment and outpatient counseling options, as well as a sober living option for long-term support in a peer-driven long-term residential model. “Cenikor is at a point of continued expansion and growth, with more exciting changes coming soon,” noted Mr. Bailey.
