Cenikor Waco Well Beyond Recovery Luncheon was a Success!

Waco, Texas October 13, 2022 – Cenikor, a leading provider of substance and alcohol treatment is pleased to share that it had an exceptionally successful annual fundraiser for its Waco recovery center. This year, Cenikor’s fundraising luncheon recognized 10 years of operation in Waco. As an operating company, Cenikor also celebrates 55 years of saving lives through the treatment of substance use and alcohol use disorders. This luncheon was held at the Waco Convention Center and featured keynote speaker, and substance use disorder advocate, Brian Cuban. Brian is a successful attorney and author, and his latest book, The Ambulance Chaser, was a featured gift at the luncheon. We had a beautifully successful luncheon with honored guests, including our CEO, Mr. Bill Bailey, several elected officials, honorees, and leading business partners from our community.

“The Waco community has consistently shown its generous support of Cenikor’s operations, which permits Cenikor to provide critical substance use disorder treatment services to the Waco metro area. This luncheon helps individuals dealing with substance use disorder get the treatment they need. Cenikor can provide recovery services to a broader base of clients when the communities we serve support our operations,” said Bill Bailey, President and CEO of Cenikor. “Of course, the tremendous impact of Mr. Brian Cuban, who served as our speaker, was felt by our guests. Mr. Cuban recently served as Chair and keynote speaker of our Houston luncheon as well. Mr. Cuban has made a lasting mark on the substance use disorder community.”

During the luncheon, Cenikor presented the following four awards for service to Cenikor and the substance use disorder community advocates. The Cenikor Philanthropist of the Year was awarded to the Cooper Foundation. The Cenikor Business Partner of the Year was awarded to Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network. The Cenikor Community Leader of the Year was awarded to the Waco Police Department – CCAST Division. Lastly, the Cenikor Elected Official of the Year was awarded to the Mayor of Waco, Mr. Dillon Meek.
