Crystal Aguilar, Regional Director
Crystal Aguilar is a dedicated professional with a deep commitment to substance abuse treatment and recovery. She began her career as a licensed LCDC and was promoted to Compliance Manager at Charlie’s Place. Following the acquisition of Charlie’s Place by Cenikor in October 2018, Crystal joined the Cenikor Family as Compliance Supervisor. She later transitioned into the role of Process & Performance Improvement Supervisor/Compliance Supervisor before being promoted to Facility Director for the Corpus Christi facility. Currently, Crystal serves as the Regional Director, overseeing operations for both the Austin and Corpus Christi Cenikor facilities.
Crystal’s passion for substance abuse recovery is rooted in her desire to break generational cycles and challenge stereotypes often associated with lower socio-economic neighborhoods and the Latino community. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Texas A&M Corpus Christi and an M.A. in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University. Crystal is currently a doctoral candidate in the dissertation phase of her Ph.D. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior and Leadership from South University.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Crystal is deeply committed to serving her community. She is an active member of several civic and professional organizations, including the Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas – Corpus Christi Chapter, the Junior League of Corpus Christi, and the Westside Business Organization. A graduate of Leadership Corpus Christi Class 53, she now gives back as a member of the Leadership Corpus Christi Alumni Board. Crystal also serves on the board of Esperanza de Tejas and is an Angel for Wings of Texas. Furthering her commitment to inclusion, she contributes to the City of Corpus Christi’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities. An avid runner, Crystal regularly participates in fundraising events benefiting St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Crystal is dedicated to advancing education on substance abuse recovery, particularly within underprivileged communities. Her focus is on breaking the stigma surrounding substance abuse and mental health, with an emphasis on diversion as a solution to incarceration. By collaborating with community partners, Crystal works to provide vital resources and support to those in need, aiming to create a more compassionate and effective approach to substance abuse and mental health treatment.
