Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT), is a combination of psychosocial therapy and U.S. FDA-approved medication and is the most effective intervention to treat opioid use disorder. MAT significantly reduces illicit opioid use compared with nondrug approaches and increases access to therapies that can reduce overdose fatalities.

Cenikor’s team of highly qualified clinicians and professional staff across the Foundation have collaborated to create a clinical and medical model that will best meet the needs of the clients and be in alignment with the quality of service delivery expected with Cenikor.

After initial screenings and assessments to determine eligibility, Cenikor will work with the client to build a custom treatment plan that will combine the MAT Clinical model of psychosocial treatment, (also known as behavioral health treatment), and the Medical model utilizing FDA-approved medications.

Some MAT Services Include:

  • Access to Cenikor’s Telehealth services to help maintain treatment
  • Seemless transfer into Cenikor’s residential services
  • Connection to family support systems, including family therapy
  • Referrals to community-based services
  • Patient-specific treatment plan
