Cenikor Announces Co-Chairman to September Luncheon

Houston, April 26, – Today, Cenikor announces that Georgia Provost has graciously accepted the honor of serving as this year’s co-chair to the Cenikor 55th Year Anniversary Luncheon – “55 Years: Well Beyond Recovery”. Ms. Provost, who is a community activist and leader in Houston, will work alongside Brian Cuban, who was announced as chair and keynote speaker earlier this month.

“With her fundraising expertise and civic leadership, we are delighted to have Georgia Provost serve in the co-chair capacity for our Luncheon,” said Bill Bailey, President and CEO of Cenikor. “Georgia is committed to ensuring that those seeking recovery from substance and alcohol addiction will be able to receive it.”

Ms. Provost, originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, came to Houston to attend college. A graduate of Texas Southern University, Georgia is currently President and CEO of Provost Studios, a thriving portrait studio serving Houston for more than 40 years. She also serves part of the dynamic team, Helfman/Provost, who raises funds for injured or fallen law enforcement, education, and many other charitable causes. Ms. Provost, has served on numerous community boards in various capacities in the Houston area, e.g. Founder of 2015 – Five E’s of Economics Institute, Community Relations Director-Houston Forward Times Newspaper, and lifetime member NAACP & TSU National Alumni Association, Inc.

The Cenikor 55th Year Anniversary Luncheon will be held at the prestigious Briar Club on September 13. All proceeds will benefit the outpatient programs at Aldine ISD, Clear Creek ISD, Katy ISD, and as well as Houston’s two facilities, Cenikor Deer Park, which serves adults, and Odyssey House, Cenikor’s adolescent facility.
