Grace Welply, MS, LPC, LCDC, Senior Clinical Manager

Grace Welply is a seasoned behavioral health professional with more than a decade of experience in inpatient substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health treatment. As Senior Clinical Manager at Cenikor, Grace provides clinical leadership rooted in compassion, accountability, and evidence-based care, helping ensure that individuals receive ethical, person-centered treatment that supports long-term recovery and improved quality of life.

Grace’s clinical philosophy is grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens within a safe, nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship. She approaches her work collaboratively, meeting individuals where they are while helping them identify patterns, build coping skills, and move toward their personal goals. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered approaches, Grace balances clinical structure with empathy, allowing space for both accountability and growth.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Science in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, where she developed a strong foundation in mental health advocacy and client safety. Grace has spent the past ten years working in inpatient treatment settings, gaining extensive experience with complex clinical presentations and multidisciplinary care. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the State of Texas.

In addition to her clinical and leadership responsibilities, Grace brings specialized training in motivational interviewing, co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed care, behavioral modification, and couples counseling. Her areas of clinical focus include anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, addiction, mood disorders, grief, eating disorders, and relationship challenges. Through both individual and group work, she is committed to helping individuals reconnect with their strengths, restore dignity, and build sustainable paths forward.

Grace’s work reflects Cenikor’s mission-driven approach to behavioral health—combining clinical excellence, ethical practice, and genuine human connection to support recovery that extends well beyond treatment.
