Cenikor Hosts Fundraising Luncheon to Support Substance Use Disorder Treatment

Tio Kleberg of Iconic King Ranch Joins as Keynote Speaker, Sharing Inspirational Upbringing and Recovery Journey

Houston, TX, June 9, 2023Cenikor, one of the largest nonprofit behavioral health networks in the country, is delighted to announce its upcoming luncheon to raise funds and awareness for individuals battling addiction. Tio Kleberg of the legendary King Ranch will serve as the keynote speaker. The event will take place on September 13, 2023, at The Briar Club in Houston.

The fundraising luncheon, titled “Deep in the Heart,” will gather community leaders, philanthropists, healthcare professionals, and advocates to unite in the fight against substance use disorder. The event aims to generate resources and support for expanding access to comprehensive treatment programs, enhancing recovery services, and breaking down the barriers to recovery, especially for those unable to pay for treatment.

“Cenikor is thrilled to host this fundraising luncheon as we come together to support those battling substance use disorder. Our mission has always been to provide comprehensive treatment and support to individuals regardless of their financial circumstances, and this event allows us to further that mission,” said Bill Bailey, Cenikor President and CEO. “We are honored to have Tio Kleberg as our keynote speaker, whose personal journey of recovery serves as an inspiration to us all. Through the generosity and support of our community, we can make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals struggling with addiction. Together, we will create a society where everyone has access to the resources they need for lasting recovery.”

Through this fundraising luncheon, Cenikor aims to foster a culture of compassion and support, ensuring that individuals struggling with substance use disorder have access to the vital resources they need to reclaim their lives. The funds raised from this event will be utilized to expand treatment facilities, provide counseling services, and promote community-based recovery support.

“Addiction does not discriminate by economic status, and everyone, regardless of their financial situation, should have access to quality treatment,” said Bentley Sanford, Chairman of TAM International and Cenikor Board Member. “With this fundraising lunch, we will rally the community to make a significant impact in the lives of those affected by addiction, especially the indigent and Veteran populations we serve. With generous contributions from our donors, we can empower individuals to overcome addiction, find hope, and build a brighter future.”

Attendees of the luncheon will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and hear Tio Kleberg’s inspiring story of recovery. Additionally, the event will feature networking opportunities, and a chance to support Cenikor’s ongoing initiatives.

Cenikor extends its sincere gratitude to the community, sponsors, and partners for their continuous support and commitment to addressing the challenges posed by substance use disorder. Together, we can create a society where everyone has the opportunity to achieve lasting recovery.
