Farmington, NM, August 5, 2024— Cenikor, a leading nonprofit behavioral health treatment network serving over 14,000 people a year, is thrilled to announce the launch of new aftercare support services, including recovery coaching (RSS) and alumni, at its Farmington location. These vital services play a key role in ensuring lifelong recovery by strengthening the skills acquired during treatment.
Regular check-ins through RSS and alumni events help individuals stay committed to their recovery journey. Establishing a strong support community significantly enhances the chances of long-term recovery success and provides a safety net for quick re-engagement in treatment in case of relapse.
“Aftercare is an essential component of our holistic treatment approach,” said Bill Bailey, President and CEO of Cenikor Foundation. “We recognize that the journey to recovery continues beyond the treatment. Our aim is to offer clients continuous support, a sense of community, and connections that will help them thrive in recovery.”
Key features of the aftercare program include:
- One-on-One Recovery Coaching: Certified recovery support specialists with personal recovery experience work closely with clients, offering hope and a clear vision for success. Weekly check-ins help address tasks and overcome challenges.
- Resource Referrals: Recovery coaches assist clients in connecting with essential resources such as medical care, housing assistance, counseling, sober living environments, vocational training, job search assistance, and social benefits.
- Alumni Network and Events: A growing alumni community to help support one another and current Cenikor clients. Fun, sober events keep individuals engaged and connected in their recovery journey.
This program is available at no cost for two years to those who complete any level of care, including detox, residential, and outpatient..
Last year, Cenikor supported 601 individuals through aftercare services, reflecting a 54.4% increase in participation.
